DSM presents its proprietary consumer insights at Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai from November 7 to 9, 2016, to help tailor products to meet current and future needs in the Middle East.
At the show, DSM will present solutions for salt reduction in baked goods and sugar reduction in dairy products to enable better food for everyone.
It will also present its freeze dried cultures for the challenging climate in many Middle Eastern countries.
Other solutions available from DSM are high performance coloration options, including for carmine replacement, and antioxidants to increase shelf life and address clean label concerns.
DSM will also present its Halal vitamin D product forms to address one of the major micronutrient deficiencies in the region, with a recent study, for example, finding that 63% of females in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are deficient in vitamin D, according to a 2015 article in North American Journal of Medical Sciences.
