Kemin Industries will open its new Russia manufacturing facilities and office in April, 2017.
The new facility for subsidiary, Kemin Industries (Lipetsk) LLC, will be located in the Special Economic Zone of Lipetsk.
It features a manufacturing plant, administration offices and quality laboratories and warehouses.
The new Russia location is part of the five-year, global expansion plan for Kemin.
“On a global scale, Kemin is aggressively pursuing expansions to meet our customers where they are to provide high-quality products and solutions,” said Dr. Chris Nelson, president and CEO of Kemin Industries.
With regional headquarters in Europe, Kemin has been selling feed ingredients in Russia for more than 20 years.
In 2014, the company opened a fully equipped customer service laboratory in Moscow to better serve the feed industry and its growing customer base.
Construction of the Kemin facility began in spring 2016.
Once construction is complete in April 2017, Kemin can make specialty feed ingredients and more space to add new lines of manufacturing and different classes of solutions to meet local needs.
The facility creates approximately 40 new jobs in Russia.
