Poland’s Adams Packaging has selected Essentra Tapes’ Rippatape brand to integrate tear tapes within its boxes.
A 6mm wide, 60-micron tape was trialed to give a fast, safe and immediate access to the contents of corrugated and fibreboard packaging.
It is also easily applied to new and existing production lines, offering speeds of up to 450 metres a minute at the point of manufacture by using Essentra’s custom build applicators.
With the tape, there is no need for knives or other sharp implements to open the packages, thereby minimizing the risk of product damage and possible personal injury.
In addition, it has a tamper-evident feature that indicates if a package has been opened previously, offering confidence on the authenticity of the delivery and its contents.
Rippatape is available in a range of colours, and can be printed.
