Huhtamaki has acquired Interpac Packaging Limited, a company based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Interpac manufactures folded carton packaging for the fast-moving consumer goods, retail and food service products in the country. With 85 employees, the company manufactures corrugated protective packaging for the local wine industry.
The company employs 85 people.
All shares of the privately owned Interpac Packaging Limited were acquired for a purchase price of approximately €7 million (US$8.92 million).
The annual net sales of the acquired business are approximately €11 million.
The acquired unit will become part of Huhtamaki’s Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment.
