Linpac Packaging is adding new portion packs to the LeanBake bakery packaging range later this year.
The new packaging for the sweet confectionery food to go market such as cake slices and muffins will be displayed alongside the recently launched Freshware range in retailer chilled cabinets, as well as in the bakery aisle.
The new LeanBake portion packs have lightweight bases and lids with a contemporary look and feel.
The company says they do not compromise on the functionality needed in the sensitive bakery and confectionary packaging market, while providing a low carbon packaging solution.
These single and twin food portion formats are available in a variety of sizes and colors. Â
The packaging range includes hinged hermetic and semi-hermetic boxes, as well as a variety of base and lid solutions.
For example, hermetic boxes are used for sponge-based products to keep moisture within the pack so that they stay fresher for longer, whilst standard boxes are slightly vented on three sides to allow air to circulate and ensure that pastry products such as croissants and Danish pastries retain their crispiness.
Boxes in the LeanBake range are designed to stack easily and uniformly to assist in the production process.
The design also ensures visibility associated with polyethylene, which is required for bakery products to encourage consumers to purchase more and drive sales for the retailer.
Linpac Packaging has designed the corner radius of the pack that assists with the opening of the packs, improving ease of use for the consumer, and the external dimensions of the boxes have been adapted so that they fit on the standard European pallet.
