Screen will display its Truepress Jet L350UV that has expanded color gamut, end-to-end job management and inline/offline finishing capabilities at LabelExpo Europe in Brussels, Germany from September 29 to October 2, 2015.
The press produces photo-realistic quality of projects at a top speed of 173.2 square feet per minute.
It accommodates web widths up to 13.7 inches and has a maximum imaging area of 12.6 inches.
Single-pass grayscale piezo printheads emit Screen’s vibrant, high-definition CMYK+white ultra violet inks with a minimum droplet size of three picoliters.
This tiny droplet size combines with printing resolutions of 600 x 600 dpi to create sharp, well-defined images and text.
At the show, Screen is also launching Vivid Color Mode that attains spot color values without the need for spot color inks.
The simplified process uses Screen’s four-color inkset in a fast, efficient process.
The company says Truepress Jet L350UV improves text printing on coated and uncoated substrates.
The new text resolution function included in the Equios digital front end elevates text sharpness to high-definition quality by reducing ink spread across the whole job or on selected elements.
The system is integrated with the MIS, which allows JDF communication to Equios, eliminating repetitive manual tasks and automating planning and step and repeat routines.
The improvement in efficiency enables the Truepress Jet L350UV to complete more than 25 short-run jobs in a shift. Information fed back in real time to a digital dashboard displays production data, printing speeds and feet of labels printed for all scheduled jobs.
