Multivac Marking & Inspection will be showing the I 410, an inspection solution that is mounted on a separate transport conveyor at interpack 2017 from May 4 to 10 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The system has a high-resolution line scanner and image processing for both top and bottom scanning, and which performs highly reliable inspection of pack quality and labelling.
It checks on the packs, for presence and position inspection of the labels, and checking the print – and this includes pattern recognition, character verification, text checking and inspection of legibility and codes.
The I 410 is designed in the MULTIVAC Hygienic Design for use in the food industry.
It can be used as a stand-alone solution connected to a traysealer, whereby the packs are either transferred from an up-stream transport unit or fed in manually.
A motorized ejection device ejects the reject packs, which does not require compressed air for operation.
With its modular construction, users can use different visual inspection solutions and have ejection options.
The I 410 is operated via the Multivac HMI 2.0.
When part of a line, it is controlled centrally via the control terminal of the packaging machine.
All processes can be controlled intuitively on the 12″ LCD touchscreen.
The company will also display the Baseline I 100, a X-ray inspection system for detecting foreign objects at the show.
