Multivac presents packaging machines at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Germany from February 2-5, 2016 for packing salads, fruit and vegetables.
It will display the R 105 thermoforming packaging machine, an entry-level model that can produce modified atmosphere packaging and vacuum packs.
The machine is equipped with a perforator for producing FreshSAFE packs and perforates the upper web during the packaging procedure to suit the requirements of the product.
The upper web perforation enables the atmospheres inside and outside the pack to be exchanged, so that an equilibrium atmosphere (EMAP) is produced in the pack.
This enables fresh plant produce to remain fresh longer without the addition of preservatives.
The inline perforator also has the benefit, that standard films can be used and that pre-perforated films do not have to be stocked.
Meanwhile, the T 300 traysealer packs fruit and vegetables in trays in small and medium-sized batches.
The electric drive systems for the tray transport, lifting unit and film trim winder ensure that the T 300 has an energy-efficient method of operation.
Lastly, the C 200 chamber machine is a space-saving tabletop unit for packing small to medium-sized quantities of salads, nuts and dried fruit in film pouches and various pouch sizes.
An optionally available lid lock enables delicate products, such as salads for example, to be packed at ambient pressure.
These machines feature the Multivac Hygienic Design and stainless steel construction.
There is avoidance of all recesses, corners and edges, in which residual contamination could be deposited, draining cleaning water well.
All areas of the machines are also easily accessible for servicing.
