Givaudan has laid the foundation for a new flavors manufacturing facility, in Ranjangaon, Pune, India.
The company is investing CHF 55 million (US$56.32 million) in the flavors manufacturing facility, which is its largest investment in India since 1998.
The new site, which is expected to open in 2018, will complement Givaudan’s existing flavor manufacturing facility in Daman.
Expected to employ about 100 people, the Pune facility will boost Givaudan’s capabilities in liquids compounding, powder blending, emulsions, process flavors and spray drying in India.
Customers from across the Indian sub-continent will benefit from faster access to the company’s flavor solutions.
