Husky Injection Molding Systems and the National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR) hosted the first day of NAPCOR’s summer membership meeting at Husky’s global headquarters in Bolton, Ontario, Canada.
The event was attended by more than 50 business leaders from North America.
In addition to presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees visited Husky’s facilities, laboratories, participated in technology development programs and learned how the company is committed to developing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) preform injection molding solutions.
Founded in 1987, NAPCOR is the trade association for the PET plastic packaging industry in the United States and Canada. It represents the full PET value chain, from resin production, to bottle and thermoform production, to key industry suppliers, to PET reclaimers.
This broad representation allows NAPCOR to offer perspectives on the PET industry, PET recycling, and the overall use of PET as an environmentally sustainable package.
Moving forward, the association aims to continue to foster innovation in design and function of PET as a packaging material, as well as support recyclability and recycled content as an integral feature of the PET package.
