Swedish food manufacturer Orkla Foods Sverige has replaced two existing filling machines with one filling machine from SIG Combibloc.
With the CFA 712, the food company is now filling premium juice drinks – both ready-to-drink beverages and concentrates – of its JOKK and BOB ranges, as well as Muksu-branded baby food in combiblocSmall and combifitSmall aseptic carton packs.
“The new filling machine from SIG Combibloc has enabled us to significantly increase our production volume,” says plant manager Johan Linné.
“With the successful start we are open for converting more carton filling machines to the SIG Combibloc filling technology in the next few years.”
The format, volume, product and decor flexibility of the SIG Combibloc filling machines enables food manufacturers to keep production flexible and cost-effective.
With the CFA 712 filling machine, Orkla Foods Sverige is able to fill products in the combibloc and combifit formats – an output of up to 12,000 carton packs per hour is possible.
The machine can do this in several volumes and with any decor required.
Products can be optimally positioned precisely as required to fit the market and the relevant target group.
For all combibloc and combifit formats with the same base dimensions, switching between different fill volumes takes a few minutes.
With the CFA 712, six different volumes can be filled at Orkla Foods Sverige.
Orkla Foods Sverige employs more than 1,500 people.
Headquartered in Eslöv, the company manufactures at eight sites in Sweden.
