As a result of a strategic restructuring of the business to best suit the current and future market requirements, Europe’s manufacturer and supplier of new and reconditioned pallets, Scott Group, has announced the launch of its complete ‘sustainable pallet solution’ under the Scott Pallets brand.
Following the success of the group’s pallet and transit packaging recovery service, which was established nationwide under the Scott ELM brand as a core service for customers managing rising pallet and waste costs, the group has consolidated with the Scott ELM brand being absorbed by Scott Pallets to create a sustainable pallet solution for the market.
The UK company says this move will not only help customers mitigate rising timber prices but also continue to aid the market in meeting environmental waste reduction targets through the effective management of existing pallet stocks.
The pallet and transit packaging recovery service being run by the group has already delivered results for its customers, diverting approximately 14 million tons of waste from landfill, resulting in savings of ÂŁ3.4 million ($5.56 million) in waste disposal costs in 2013.
This former division of the group will now augment the existing Scott Pallets offering, which already includes new pallet design and manufacture, reconditioned pallets and bespoke pallet pooling to offer the market a complete sustainable pallet solution.
With manufacturing sites across the UK and in Riga, Latvia, Scott Group produces more than 250,000 new pallets and 150,000 re-conditioned ones a week and is dedicated to helping its customers find the best pallet solution.
