Americas: Amcor, Moda combine machine expertise for meat packaging

Amcor is partnering with Moda vacuum packaging systems to offer solutions in flexible packaging for food processors located in North America and Latin America.

The two companies are combining Amcor’s shrink bag and rollstock film for meat and cheese with Moda’s system for protein applications.

“Meat processors can experience increased throughput up to 40 bags per minute, while reducing labor costs by 50% or more with Flow-Tite shrink rollstock and Moda equipment,” said Don Schnabel, Amcor’s senior marketing director.

Moda produces high performance modular packaging equipment that integrates the latest technology with hygienic design for vacuum packaging.

It has a factory and design head-quarters in New Zealand and service centers globally.

Amcor makes packaging that is increasingly light-weighted, recyclable and reusable, and made using a rising amount of recycled content.
