Americas: Axon displays two packaging systems in show

Axon, powered by Pro Mach, features the new EZ-150SL shrink sleeve applicator and ThermoFlow shrink tunnel at WestPack, February 7-9, 2017 in California, US.

This shrink sleeve duo applies labels at up to 150 bottles or cans per minute.

The EZ-150SL is the lowest-priced mandrel-style machine for round-the-clock, intuitive operation.

It has a stainless-steel frame, servo motor technology and a multi-lingual color touchscreen interface.

Meanwhile, the ThermoFlow is a new, compact, self-contained shrink tunnel with a 15-PSI low pressure steam generator and condensate collection system.

Because it is low pressure, packaging operations do not need special licensing or certifications that are required for high pressure boilers.

The ThermoFlow easily adjusts the amount of steam appropriate for the size of container to minimize energy consumption.

These units offer quick, tool-less changeovers between packaging formats for optimum line utilization.

The cantilevered design of the ThermoFlow provides easy access to tunnel components for trouble free installation and maintenance.
