World: Delta Food Industries opens dairy plant in SAIF Zone

Delta Food Industries  opened an AED 40 million (US$10.89 million) dairy plant in Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) this month.

“The new plant will manufacture evaporated milk and cream,” said Shiraz Osman, founder and chairman.

“The production machinery  is the latest  available in the industry and it is capable of producing 250,000 cartons per month of evaporated milk and cream.”

“We are capitalizing on the first four years of operation inside the SAIF Zone, with our latest initiative, the dairy plant, which will see the enhancement of  capacities as well as the range of products,” he added.

For the last four years, the company has been manufacturing tomato paste, tomato ketchup, hot sauce, milk powder, custard powder and oats.

The company has a distribution network across 20 countries in Gulf Cooperation Council, Middle East and the African region.
