Europe: Multivac participates in Germany’s IFFA

Multivac will display solutions for the packaging of fresh meat, ham and sausage products at IFFA in Frankfurt, Germany from May 7 to 12, 2016.

It will present the R 235 thermoforming packaging machine that is equipped as standard with format sets and sealing dies to produce flat packs of sliced products with an interface for attaching slicers.

With a lowered film infeed, the loading conveyor of the slicer can be placed horizontally at the height of the machine frame.

The machine will be exhibited with the MBS 200 converging system with pack ejection and an L 330 conveyor belt labeler, which ensures that packs of sliced products are perfectly labeled with side-driven toothed belt guides.

Other solutions on display include the compact R 085 e-concept thermoforming packaging machine and the entry-level model R 105 MF for producing MultiFresh vacuum skin packaging.

From its traysealer portfolio, MULTIVAC is presenting the smallest in its range, T 300 that packs small to medium-sized batches.

It has energy-efficient drive systems and can be washed down.

The machine can be configured with multiple tracks, enables quick die changes and combined with various discharge systems.

The T 300 will be equipped at the trade fair with a TVI slicer for fillets and steaks.

Meanwhile, the traysealer T 800 can pack large batches and integrate into automated packaging lines.

The scalable machine can be operated from both sides and is available with a variety of equipment options.

At IFFA, the T 800 can be seen in the largest version as part of an automatic packaging line.

This consists of a denester with tray tracking, conveyor belts, a metal detector, an L 310 conveyor belt labeler for the top and bottom labeling and an H 130 handling module, which inserts the packs into E-boxes.

Additional products on display include the B 610 chamber belt machine and the MultiFresh film range for producing vacuum skin packs.
