Asia Pacific: Chinese fruit juice company to build facility worth US$48M in China

SkyPeople Fruit Juice has recently broken ground for the Yidu orange project and facility in Yidu City, Hubei province, China.

Created to process oranges into fruit juice and related products, the facility is planned to complete by 2017.

“We are pleased to partner with the Yidu municipal government in this opportunity to create exceptional products for both domestic and international distribution as well as to further bolster the region’s strong agricultural industrial zone known for its abundant orange production,” said chairman and CEO Yongke Xue.

The total investment in the Yidu orange project will be approximately RMB300 million (US$48 million), which includes fixed assets and the purchase of land use rights.

The project will be built on about 46 acres of land and develop a concentrated orange juice production line and other facilities for storage, sales and distribution, as well as research and development.
