Americas: Menasha Packaging saves energy by 70%

Menasha Packaging achieved significant energy savings and cut chemical use by 70% after two business units found a better way to source, purchase and process printing plates for the company’s display business, according to its fifth annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

The company also:

• acquired Canada-based PearceWellwood Inc. of Brampton and Portable Packaging Systems of Mississauga in the first half of 2015.

• increased its output capabilities and improved press speeds at its promotional and print operations in Neenah, US with added space for manufacturing, warehousing and logistics; and consolidated equipment and processes.

• increased employee knowledge of recycling and waste management processes and better understanding of the environmental impact of material used to produce Menasha products.
