Europe: Theegarten-Pactec HQ goes on a €30M facelift

Packaging company Theegarten-Pactec inaugurated a manufacturing/assembly complex and office building worth €30 million (US$32.9 million) at its headquarters in Dresden, Germany.

“For Theegarten-Pactec, the new building is the foundation needed to continue building high-tech machines for our customers and secure long-term growth,” says president and CEO Markus Rustler.

“The new building has also resulted in the creation of around 50 new jobs. We are delighted that the first construction phase is now complete, thus setting another milestone in the company’s history, which goes back over 80 years.”

The new assembly buildings are designed to create better assembly conditions for complex lines and in particular to facilitate start-up operations in Dresden so that seamless project workflows are guaranteed for Theegarten-Pactec and its customers.

The site will increase in size as a result, extending to a total area of 50,000 sqm.

The entire project will be implemented in three construction phases and will also involve the phased demolition of existing buildings.

The project should be completed by mid-2017.
