Americas: Koelnmesse, PMMI to organize food show in 2017

Koelnmesse and the PMMI Association for Packaging & Processing Technologies have expanded their partnership to a new event on food processing and packaging in North America in spring of 2017.

A corresponding agreement was signed during Anuga FoodTec 2015 in Cologne, Germany.

The two companies have been partners since 2011 to provide food technology companies with customized exhibition concepts to help tap international markets. “By expanding our partnership, we have created the basis for even more intensive cooperation,” says Gerald Böse, president and CEO of Koelnmesse GmbH.

“As part of Koelnmesse’s internationalization strategy, besides South America, now North and Central America are moving stronger into focus with the goal of offering our customers even more opportunities for market entry into international markets.”

PMMI is the owner and producer of the leading US fairs Pack Expo International, Pack Expo Las Vegas, Pack Expo East, Pharma Expo and the Mexican fairs Expo Pack México and Pack Expo Guadalajara, and thus reaches both the North American and Central American markets.

Koelnmesse organizes trade fairs such as Anuga FoodTec, ProSweets Cologne, Anutec Brazil, International FoodTec India and India International Dairy Expo.

Through its partnership with the Colombian trade fair organizer, Corporación de Ferias y Exposiciones SA (Corferias), Koelnmesse has also been increasingly involved in the Andean region since 2014.
