Esterform Packaging Limited has acquired the business of Constar UK based at Sherburn-in Elmet near York.
Esterform manufactures 1.5 billion polyethylene preforms and containers from its two sites in Tenbury Wells and Leeds.
This acquisition will take the group’s overall capability to in excess of three billion units.
Esterform has previously acquired Able Industries and Pet Plas Packaging since its formation in 2000.
The acquisition of Constar goes alongside Esterform’s announcement three weeks ago of its £8 million (US$12.02 million) investment in manufacturing technology.
