Asia Pacific: Invisible Sentinel appoints New Zealand distributor for assays to detect food pathogens

Invisible Sentinel says its Veriflow assays will be distributed in New Zealand by New Zealand Medical and Scientific Ltd (NZMS).

Based in Auckland, NZMS sells products for medical and scientific applications.

Under the agreement with Invisible Sentinel, NZMS will distribute Veriflow products to the New Zealand market including customers in the food and beverage industries.

NZMS will make available in the country the current Invisible Sentinel product line of assays to detect food pathogens: Veriflow LS for Listeria species, Veriflow SS for Salmonella species, Veriflow CA for Campylobacter, and VeriflowLM for Listeria monocytogenes.

Veriflow assays for Escherichia coli 0157:H7 and Shiga toxin-producing E. coli are pending approval by the Association of Analytical Communities.

In addition, NZMS will sell Veriflow BRETT, Invisible Sentinel’s assay to measure levels of the wine-spoilage microbe Brettanomyces bruxellensis.

In addition, Invisible Sentinel announced a separate agreement whereby Veriflow BRETT will be distributed in Italy.

Further application of Veriflow technology continues with the development of an assay to detect spoilage microbes in beer.
