Americas: Verso Corp releases bags for foodservice, industrial use

Packaging company Verso Corporation introduces the GlazeBag NK and GlazeWrap NK products, joining its NK Series of lightweight, machine-glazed natural kraft papers manufactured using unbleached virgin fiber. These products offer a natural look and feel with performance for foodservice, industrial and flexible packaging applications.

“Our focus is on creating high-performance, unbleached natural kraft papers for demanding converting processes,” said Mike Weinhold, president of graphic papers.

The range has “oil and grease resistance, low porosity for moisture holdout, and consistency in extrusion laminating and waxing”.

GlazeBag NK is a multipurpose natural kraft paper for standard and premium retail bag applications requiring a natural look and feel.

With basis weights (3,000 sq ft) ranging from 20-40 lb, GlazeBag NK provides stiffness for structural integrity and high-speed converting performance, as well as excellent printability for food service bags, concession bags and other lightweight, unbleached bag applications.

Meanwhile, GlazeWrap NK, with basis weights (3,000 sq. ft.) ranging from 15-40 lb, is a multipurpose natural kraft paper for converting and packaging applications.

Smooth and uniform for good laminated appearance, GlazeWrap NK is applicable for foil and film laminated products ranging from premium food pouches and wraps, to construction and industrial packaging applications.
