Asia Pacific: Selected drinks to don healthier labels, says Coca-Cola Singapore

Coca-Cola Singapore is adopting the Healthier Choice Symbol labelling and donning the Healthier Choice logo on lower- and no-sugar products in its beverage portfolio.

Products include Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Light, teas, waters and isotonic drinks.

“We know that consumers are increasingly concerned about sugar, and they want greater control and choice,” says Ahmed Yehia, country manager of Coca-Cola Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.

“Our belief is that clear and simple information can help make it easier for consumers to continue to enjoy the products they love while simultaneously encouraging and enabling them to manage their sugar and calorie intake.”

“That is why we have decided to adopt the Healthier Choice Symbol and will introduce it progressively across our portfolio of low- and no-calorie beverages.”

The Healthier Choice Symbol is being rolled out with label changes and will start appearing progressively on packs in-store beginning late March 2017.
