Americas: Brazilian company installs SIG Combibloc machine

Brazil’s Cooperoeste has invested in a filling machine CFA 512 from SIG Combibloc to fill ultra-heat temperature (UHT) milk products of the Terra Viva brand into combiblocStandard 1L carton packs.

The investment is part of Cooperoeste’s goal of optimizing production costs and being able to offer food at affordable prices.

The company was founded 20 years ago to jointly bring to market products from the strongly agricultural region and combine strengths to improve profitability – always with the goal of improving the social and economic situation of families in the region.

Under the brand name Terra Viva, Cooperoeste’s product portfolio includes a range of UHT milk, various cheese products and pickled gherkins.

The newly installed CFA 512 filling machine can fill up to 12,000 carton packs every hour, with a high level of flexibility and efficiency, low water and energy consumption and minimal waste.

Once the packs are filled, an automatic palletizer ensures that everything continues to run smoothly and efficiently during the subsequent stages.
