Asia Pacific: Ingredion’s Sweetis allows formulations of 50% less sugar

Ingredion introduces Sweetis sweetener systems across Asia Pacific to help food and beverage manufacturers create sucrose-like taste profiles with the mouthfeel of sugar.

With growing consumer interest in reducing sugar intake, the systems can help manufacturers replace sugar in their product recipes to satisfy consumers’ needs for health and wellness, while maintaining an indulgent eating experience.

Providing more intense sweetness, up to 120-130% of sucrose, and fewer calories, it allows formulations to contain up to 50% less sugar.

The series uses Ingredion’s proprietary Dial-In Sweetness technology to shorten the path to achieve optimum sensory profiles.

Easy to use with minimal formulation changes, Sweetis can support on-pack claims of reduced calories and/or reduced sugar.

From a technical perspective, the sweetener systems also offer excellent flowability, and are pH and heat stable.

They are manufactured at a non-genetically modified dedicated facility that meets ISO, FSSC22000 and SMETA certifications.

The facility is also Halal and Kosher certified.
