Asia Pacific: Zebra Technologies release future ready desktop thermal printers

Zebra Technologies Corporation unveiled its new ZD400-series desktop thermal printers at Post Expo Hong Kong 2016.

Designed for retail, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare industries, the ZD400-series is flexible and user-friendly, making deployment, use, and troubleshooting easier.

With connectivity options and Zebra’s Link-OS software, users can also manage all printers anywhere via the Cloud, gaining real-time asset intelligence across the enterprise.

ZD410 is designed for the smallest work spaces.

The ultra-compact 2-inch direct thermal printer can be placed conveniently wherever employees need to work and is ideal for printing high-quality labels, receipts, and tags in applications including pharmacy prescription labels, shelf labeling, price markdowns and scale labels.

On the other hand, ZD420 is a desktop thermal transfer printer with an easy-to-load ribbon cartridge that significantly reduces the downtime required to reload printer ribbons.

This makes it easier for warehouse staff – permanent, temporary or seasonal – to operate, hence improving operational productivity.

It also provides information to the user including type of ribbon and the amount of ribbon remaining in the cartridge.

The two printers offer both IEEE 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.

They are also equipped with 512MB of flash memory and 256MB of SDRAM.

Both ZD410 and ZD420 are Link-OS-enabled, making them easier for store workers to use and IT to manage.

With new status icons, users can instantly identify and rectify printer issues while IT can remotely manage all printers through an easy-to-use, web-based interface.

The Virtual Devices application enables the simple replacement of non-Zebra printers.

Zebra OneCare services are available in three service levels to help maximize the availability and productivity of Zebra printers.

The ZD400-series printers will be available across the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, starting in Q2.
