Europe: Henkel holds two webinars on food safety

Henkel will host two webinars imparting industry knowledge on basic food safety topics on its knowledge platform.

On April 29, 2016, at 10:00 AM CEST, head of Lab Analytical Instruments Dr. Andre Weiss will speak about ‘Basics in Migration – Adhesives in Food Packaging’.

In his webinar, he will talk about what migration means and how it occurs.

He will also speak on the measurement and evaluation of migration, as well as the role adhesives play in migration.

On May 11, 2016, at 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM CEST, Dr. Monika Tönnießen, manager Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs, will share on migration in her webinar entitled ‘Ways to Improve Food Safety’.

There are several factors that may influence migration, such as the amount of adhesive applied, the structure of the packaging, the type of filled good and storage time.

By being aware of these factors, the food industry can easily contribute to reducing migration risks at each production stage.

The live webinars focus on important issues surrounding food packaging safety.

Participants can also pose their questions live to the Henkel presenters during the webinars.
