Asia Pacific: Molenbergnatie opens coffee warehouse in Vietnam

Molenbergnatie has recently inaugurated a coffee warehouse in Binh Duong, Vietnam, following completion of construction in December 2014.

The new warehouse and processing plant, which will be the largest of its kind in Asia, with a covered area of 66,300 sqm, is designed to handle up to 170,000 metric tons of green coffee processing annually.

The warehouse will employ up to 350 staff when operating at full capacity and offers a combination of efficient through-put, client goods segregation and a variety of tailor-made processing and supply chain management services.

“The warehouse is the first 100% foreign direct investment coffee site operated by an international logistics company,” says CEO Matthias D’hondt.

“This setup under our own licenses enables improved supervision of the internationally financed stocks which we safeguard and handle for our customers.”

The government of Vietnam, the provincial government of Binh Duong and the Embassy of Belgium are some of the partners who have actively contributed to the success of the project to date, says the company.
