Europe: Krones subsidiary buys SAP company for intra-plant logistics

Syskron Holding GmbH, the subsidiary specialising in intralogistics of Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, has purchased a 100% stake in the Triacos GmbH company.

By buying Triacos, Syskron Holding is acquiring corporate expertise in consultancy and the implementation of SAP solutions, focusing on production-related and intra-plant logistics.

It is also now able to offer SAP standard solutions for the beverage industry, in addition to its software packages.

The ability to integrate SAP software solutions is of crucial importance for the development of business models in the context of the Industry 4.0 concept.

In the 2014 business year, the family-owned Triacos, headquartered in Altenstadt an der Waldnaab (Upper Palatinate), achieved a turnover of about €2 million (US$2.29 million).

At Triacos, 22 SAP specialists concentrate on implementing projects for mid-tier customers in Germany.

The purchase price is in the single-digit-million range, with the acquisition coming into force on 2 February 2015.
