Americas: Dynamic Conveyor receives US patent for solution

Dynamic Conveyor Corporation has received from the US Patent Office a patent that gives the ability for quick conveyor belt access, which is necessary for the accelerated cleaning process desired by the food processing and packaging industry.

The patent for invention number 8,919,541 is for a quick-release conveyor belt containment device that gives easy access to the conveyor belt and inner-components of the DynaClean conveyor for quick and easy cleaning and sanitizing.

Without the need for tools, components can be removed in a matter of minutes giving complete exposure to the inside of the food conveyor system.

“DynaClean food conveyors offer a very open design with no place for anything to hide and are much easier to clean. We can do that with one person much faster than how we used to do that,” says Scott Thibault, President of J&M Foods.

“It is easy to break down, lift off the retaining walls, lift out the rollers, clean underneath it, pressure wash it or dry wipe it and put it back together. It takes half the time it did with the old system.”

The patented food conveyor system design includes a variety of custom configurations from horizontal to Z configurations, including the Vertical Z which offers a direct replacement for difficult to clean bucket conveyors.

The system design allows for savings to start with the initial investment and continue with short downtimes for cleaning, energy efficient maintenance-free motors and the ability to reuse components when needs change.

DynaClean food conveyors are designed to meet standards from the National Science Foundation, Food & Drug Administration, US Department of Agriculture and Baking Industry Sanitation Standards Committee.

The plastic materials are corrosion resistant, non-toxic, non-absorbent, temperature-resistant and will not rot or retain harmful bacteria, odors or cleaning agents.

The food conveyor systems can be cleaned and sanitized with water, steam and/or detergents ranging from sodium hydroxide to hydrochloric acid.
