Asia Pacific: Amcor to build plant in the Philippines

Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific says it will build a multi-million dollar flexible packaging plant in the Philippines to manufacture high performance packaging for a multinational consumer brand.

This investment builds on the existing customer partnership and delivers direct in-country production thereby improving the company’s speed-to-market in the Filipino market.

The plant is expected to be fully operational in 2016.

“Emerging Asia remains an important focus for Amcor Flexibles and with 38 plants in eight countries today, our presence in the Asia Pacific region will continue to grow both organically and through acquisitions,” says president Ralf K. Wunderlich.
