Asia Pacific: tna introduces sensitive metal detector

The newly launched tna hyper-detect 5 metal detector has been created to improve metal detection capabilities while eliminating degradation in product transfer to deliver safe product throughput and minimize rejects.

The company tna says the tna hyper-detect is reportedly the world’s first non-symmetrical balanced coil metal detector with a conical aperture into the detector.

While conventional ‘throat’ metal detectors have been used by manufacturers to inspect the product before it enters the bag to allow the use of metallized film, these limit product throughput and packaging speeds.

The machine enables the metal detector to be positioned closer to the multi-head weigher, thereby increasing the speed at which the bagger can produce finished bags.

With a high frequency function, the machine provides stable operation for sensitivity and performance when inspecting products.

The integrated design, including its shape and tapered chute, does not increase the system’s height, requiring minimal installation space, and it can be fully integrated with baggers and weighers.

This enables the detector to run faster while maintaining high sensitivity levels.

It can detect ferrous contaminants from 0.8 mm to 0.9 mm, non-ferrous pieces up to 1.0 mm and non-magnetic stainless steel from 1.0 mm to 1.2 mm.
