Europe: Dairy Crest wins two sustainability awards

Dairy Crest has been recognized at two awards ceremonies for its efforts on making its whole supply chain more sustainable, which include working with dairy farmers to develop and launch a simple, transparent milk price formula.

Other initiatives include expanding a program to help the most small, vulnerable dairy farms who are not aligned to any retailers and launching 40 public corporate responsibility pledges.

At the Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards, the company and British Sugar share the Judges’ Star Performer Award.

In addition, Dairy Quest won the top prize for stakeholder engagement in its supply chain at the Sustainability Leader Awards, beating nominees Marks & Spencer, First Milk and Asda.
