Asia Pacific: Thailand hosts summit for partnership on food security

The Aid and International Development Forum (AIDF) Food Security Summit – Asia 2013 was held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand on November 26 and 27.

The event attracted more than 200 hundred delegates from 20 countries, where they can discuss issues and collaborate on areas surrounding food security, including nutrition and agriculture.

Representing the Ministry of Environment for Cambodia, Srun Darith said he hoped the dialogue established at the Summit will advocate a better way of thinking and better approaches to improve child and maternal nutrition.

Commercial director of Asia Pacific at Glanbia Nutritionals, Bruno Kistner said the summit has brought together private and public partnerships, providing a voice for everyone including business.

The AIDF Summit was again held on March 2014 in Bangkok, which explored on water security.
